01: Vanilla Bean Sugar Cookie Base contains two different styles of vanilla sugar cookie dough recipes. One is a buttery, sable-style sugar cookie that is the perfect simple base for just about anything. This dough can be rolled thin and baked to golden or rolled thicker and baked to just finished so it is soft and tender. The second dough type is a sweet, fluffy, and classic sugar cookie dough that is perfect paired with royal icing or buttercream. In the pdf, I explain the different ratios for these recipes and how you can further tweak them to perfectly fit your needs. Both recipes are extremely simple, because I have learned the value in keeping a recipe, especially a vanilla base recipe, down to the basics. Each of the recipes are excellent for holidays, celebrations, buttercream decorating, and cookie decorating businesses. I recommend trying both to learn your preference- a sugary base or a buttery base.
I previously published a vanilla sugar cookie dough that I no longer use because I’ve continued to tweak it since releasing it. This product is now the result of many many tests and studying over the last year, and I’m so happy with both of these base recipes. Simple, delicious, and limitless.
