46: Chocolate Hazelnut Roll Out Cookie Recipe is a sugary based cookie that is a soft hazelnutty and chocolatey dough that will remind you of the classic chocolate hazelnut spread we all know and love. This cookie holds its shape beautifully and is the perfect addition to a valentine or summer menu. This recipe contains only regular pantry ingredients and does not use cake flour.
*NOTE* A sugary based cookie is softer, sweeter, and a bit fluffier than a buttery based cookie. It has a higher ratio of sugar to butter and is not meant to be baked to crunchy or golden brown. If you prefer a very soft texture, this one is for you. A buttery based cookie has a higher ratio of butter to sugar and is delicious when baked to golden brown because it allows the butter flavor to take over. A sugary base also allows for a chocolate based dough to remain soft as cocoa powder can dry out a dough.
